Gary Couch- Chair of Trustees

Gary Couch trained as a Quantity Surveyor and completed his Batchelor of Science Degree with Sir Robert McAlpine in 1985.

In 1986, Gary joined The Apollo Group as a Junior Surveyor, in what was then a small, family construction company and over the following twenty five years grew the business for it to become one of the UK’s largest Social Housing Contractors.

As CEO, Gary led the successive sales of The Apollo Group to Lloyds Development Capital and the Halifax Bank of Scotland, with a combined enterprise value of £560 million. In 2012, The Apollo Group merged with the Keepmoat Group to form one of the leading support services companies in the UK, with an annual turnover in excess of £1 billion.

Gary is currently the CEO of Islandbridge Properties, an international property investment and development company.

Gary first came into contact with Teens Unite when he was invited by a close friend and supporter of the charity to our Fashion Show in 2015.

Gary became a trustee in August 2015 and was promoted to the Chair of Trustees in November 2016.

david lewisDavid Lewis

David Lewis has been successfully selling new and used yachts for over 40 years and is now the Managing Director of Sunseeker London; a world leading and Platinum Award winning yacht broker and After Sales Service Provider based in Mayfair.

David Lewis co-founded the company in 1993 with Christopher Head and today, the extensive dealer network spans the globe, bringing world-class service to a world-class brand. Sunseeker London is the largest distributor of new Sunseeker boats and Sunseeker products worldwide.

Over the years he has helped to raise an incredible £3 million for UK charities.

David has worked closely with Teens Unite since its inception in 2007. He participates in our annual ‘Apprentice Challenge’ enjoys passing on some of his knowledge and experience to the young people we supports. In 2016, David will be personally participating in a charity cycle for Teens Unite.

Julia is a Business Advisor, helping businesses with their strategies, change management, marketing and branding, operational and organisational changes and restructuring. She helps businesses of all natures to develop and be the best they can be.

Prior to this Julia was CEO of several businesses including figleaves.com, Antler Luggage and Blacks Leisure. In her earlier career she was pivotal in developing the F&F clothing Brand at Tesco. With a retail background that has developed into all round business management, she is helping Teens Unite with our strategy and installing business principles.

After being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 16, Chris understands the importance of Teens Unite first-hand.

He states that ‘cancer was the best thing to ever happen to me’, as it made him a more positive, motivated and aspirational person. Chris is now an internationally renowned health expert, managing three successful companies.

Viv EdwardsVivienne Edwards

Vivienne is a founding partner of Edwards McCoy Ltd, an interior design firm for the leisure, retail, and residential market. Prior to this, she had her own successful recruitment company for many years before selling it to pursue her passion.

She attended Chelsea College of Art & Design and started her new venture of an interior design business.

Vivienne has always supported charities close to her heart and home, from volunteering as a bedside companion and office support at her local hospice and raising large amounts of funds for breast cancer. Viv is eager to support Teens Unite as it is a young and local charity where she can use her fundraising experience and network to further increase awareness and fundraising and support.
