Our 2016 Activity Stay is running from Friday 5th August until Wednesday 10th August at Mill Hill School in North London.

The Teens Unite activity week is definitely a date to put in your diary. It’s a chance to spend a few days with great, like-minded teens, and to build friendships that last way beyond the end of the week. There’s nothing better as a teen facing the effects of cancer than having some time where you can truly forget about all of those hospital appointments, limitations that you may come across in everyday life and struggling with feelings of being different and fitting in. During the week we do all we can to give everyone a time they won’t forget. Concentrating on making the most out of the week and activities, and building everyone up ready to face the world!

The days and evenings are packed full of a variety of activities- no matter what your strengths and abilities are, there will be plenty for you to get stuck in with. Last year activities ranged from stomach churning (but great fun!) hanging from obstacles above the forest floor at a Go Ape centre, to a relaxing pamper afternoon of beauty treats from Look Good Feel Better. Brains were engaged and imaginations were stretched with an apprentice challenge, which proved a real hit and we also had a great time with an art workshop, pizza making, karaoke, a morning of sporting activities at a top sports ground, films and more.

“Most importantly, it was the friendships that were created throughout the week which was the highlight for me. Isn’t it crazy how you can put 25 complete strangers in a house for five days and feel like you have known them for years by the end?” One of the young people we support who attended last year’s Activity Stay.
