We’re off to a flying start at our Activity Stay 2017. Everyone has settled in to their new ‘digs’ for the week and getting to know one another.
We started the day with a tie dye workshop, where the teens each created their own, unique t-shirt to treasure for years to come and remind them of their time at the Activity Stay.
This afternoon was all about team work, bonding and challenging ourselves in an ‘old fashioned’ sports day. The teens were divided into teams to conquer the egg and spoon race, sack race, obstacle course and relay, working together and encouraging each other along the way.
After working up quite an appetite, we tucked into a well-earned BBQ, kindly prepared by Teens Unite’s volunteers, Cheryl and Ian Dawe.
Our evening was a relaxed one, playing games back at our boarding house and spending more time developing new friendships and finding out more about each other.
Thank you to Cheryl, Ian, Nathan, Ischia and Jack, who all volunteered their time to make the day a memorable one.
